There once was not a divide between design and construction professionals. Where do I begin?
Your path to a successful projects starts with an initial consultation. We will discuss your goal, or help you determine exactly what your goal is if you have not done so. Do you have your project site secured? Do you have a lender? What are the jurisdiction limitations for your project site?
After the initial consultation, Kern Valley Construction will design conceptual drawings based on the information we received during our meeting, keeping in mind budget and time constraints.
Once the conceptual drawings are approved, work can begin on the construction drawings. All of the architectural drawings and most of the engineering drawings are done in-house by Kern Valley Construction staff. By handling the design in-house, we have ultimate control over delivery and quality. We work closely with the client to determine all aspects of the project, from major design decisions to building finishes.
After the construction drawings are completed, permits are applied for and the construction process begins. Because Kern Valley Construction was responsible for the construction drawings, if there are any questions related to the plans that arise during construction, they are dealt with immediately - no delays in waiting for the architect or engineer’s approval.
Commercial Development, Delano, CA
Our client wanted to maximize the building/lot ratio, and we designed the most efficient site layout for the available space. The design consisted of one 8,000+ sf metal building, with a single slope roof to drain to the front of the property. The roof was disguised with a decorative parapet. The building was divided into one main tenant space, with one existing lease space and a divided warehouse space, with room for future divisions.
